ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Initiate and develop relationships with key prospects to identify and meet prospects’ business needs.

• Leading a team to identify business opportunities to manage airports outside of Oman.

• Organize and conduct due diligence activity when acquiring new business.

• Negotiating acquisitions of airports’ management contracts.

• Builds and fosters long-term working relationships with stakeholders, including Government organizations, business partners, rating agencies, business ventures, operators to influence investments and activities to support Route Development activities. 

• Identify growth opportunities and develop business cases that are outside of the scope of other Commercial departments for “go forward strategy”.

• Oversees the marketing activities supporting the Route Development, the Aero/Non Aero Revenue, and Real Estate departments.  

• Ensure appropriate allocation of business development resources to meet business goals.

• Report regularly to Oman Airports’ senior management and business units on competitor performance, trends and issues and advise on areas that may require management action.

• Ensures compliance with internal and external audits of Oman Airports and compliance with all bond ordinances and regulatory requirements.

• Developing strategic plans for the organization based on Oman Airport’s priorities and objectives and champions the communication to internal and external stakeholders.

• Maintains positive relationships with the Corporation and effectively assists with preparing and presenting Board reports and information.

• Determines strategic initiatives, goals and objectives within the department. Leads the performance of the department as it correlates with the Corporation’s Strategic Business Plan and the associated key performance indicators. Develops and implements strategies for optimizing performance with the goal of meeting or exceeding the established business performance benchmarks.

• Attend relevant job-related industry events, workshops and conferences.


QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in any related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).

• Minimum 12 years’ experience in a similar role or a related field (preferably in the Aviation/Airport Sector).
